Savallà de Comptat is a small town in Catalonia, built entirely with traditional stone buildings, on a hill with steep slopes between streets. The purpose of the reform was to improve the use and access of the garden of the house and to repair the stone retaining walls, which were in poor condition.
The small garden was divided into two levels. The project consisted in connecting the two gardens by means of an external staircase and creating a stone porch on the lower terrace, which allowed increasing the area of the upper garden and creating a new leisure space.
This porch was carried out taking advantage of the reconstruction and improvement works of the existing stone and retaining walls, with a very careful intervention in an area protected by urban planning.
